The Childers is a mixed or married wing pattern designed by Colonel Childers in 1850. The childers was written about by such writers as George M. Kelson, Sir Herbert Maxwell, John James Hardy, John Hale and Dr. Pryce-Tannatt. The childers was said to fish well and is a very beautiful fly to look upon.
