Michel Lajoie
Hi, my name is Michel Lajoie. I was born in Montreal, Quebec, and I got interested in fly fishing and fly tying in my early adult life, around 1965. Some people say that tying classics requires patience, I disagree, it take passion. Once you have a passion for tying you don't need patience. It's a lifelong love of feathers and furs. I own a small fly shop south of Montreal (Chateauguay) called Le Moucheux. It can be viewed in both an English and a French version. Most of my time is spent running the shop, tying flies, building bamboo rods and landing nets. The only way I can escape the routine of the shop, is to get lost in what I love the most, tying the Classics. I do not publicize my Classic Flies and rarely sell them. Occasionally I do sell them to my friends. Thanks, Michel Lajoie Editors Note: I would encourage everyone to visit Michel's web site Le Moucheux, where you can find much more that we have the pleasure of sharing here on The Classics. Michel can also be reached via email at sales@lemoucheux.ca . Just let Michel know you found him here on The Classics first.
